Laps (one half of Digitaline) mixed this week's Source To Cycle podcast. On his Cycle, the Lausanne-based producer layers a live set of infectious organic grooves, raw percussion and psychedelic house.
Don't ask for a tracklist, because this mix is the sound of a producer playing in real-time with loops, half completed songs, samples, sound effects, and re-edits, working his grooves from nothing but raw energy. Plus, even Laps doesn't know the name of these songs in progress (instead he just gives them numbers).
On the Source half of his podcast, Laps shows us his roots with a mix that spans reggae, funk, hip hop, electronica, rock, and heavy metal! With tracks from Lee Scratch Perry, Dr. Dre, Mobb Deep, Guns N Roses and Nirvana it's an eclectic boyhood dream.
