Italian DJ and producer Yaya is behind this week's Source To Cycle podcast. Cadenza fans may know Yaya from his recent Cadenza Lab EP 'Tiago', which he co-produced with Francisco Allendes. Yaya has also released on Loco Dice's Desolat imprint, Hummingbird, Hoehenregler, and Eturia Beat, and he is currently part of the Desolat family of artists.

Here on his Cycle, Yaya plays with tribal house rhythms, disco influences, deep techno grooves, and classic house moments, and together they form a seamless landscape of dark drums and hypnotic melodies. There is a real spirit and emotion to his mixing.

Moving through tracks from Fernando Costantini & Alexander Kyosev, Sammy, Tom Demac, Loquace, Massimo Cassini, Andrea Oliva & Egal 3, and Soul Button, Yaya's Cycle also includes two cuts from himself, 'No After Today' and 'Always With Me'.

Yaya's Source mix of influences includes stunning Nigerian rhythms from Musiliu Haruna Ishola, some classic James Brown funk, and all manner of world music jams. It is definitely fresh!
